Historia del Campus

Message from the director

Campus Sinaloa en construcción

The Tec de Monterrey university and high school, Sinaloa campus, began operations on August 8, 1983. Its presence in the state was made possible by the initiative of a group of entrepreneurs who trusted the prestige of the Tecnológico de Monterrey System to establish an institution that would promote and collaborate in the region's development.

Under the auspices of Enseñanza Media y Superior, A.C. (EMYSAC), the then Unidad Sinaloa was founded. Initially, it was located in a provisional facility at Malecón Niños Héroes 470 Oriente, second floor, with a student population of 127 students.

Campus Sinaloa

The current facilities of the Sinaloa Campus were inaugurated on August 15, 1985. At that time, the student population consisted of 432 young people, with 269 in high school and 163 in the professional area. Four degrees were offered: Public Accounting, Business Administration, Industrial and Systems Engineering, and Computer Systems Engineering.

First decade
1983 - 1993

Forty years ago, a group of families from Sinaloa had the dream, vision and commitment to promote the founding of Tec de Monterrey in Sinaloa. The aspirations of these founding families were represented in a phrase of Adolfo Prieto that continues to drive us today: “All the gold in the world means nothing, what lasts are the good deeds we do for our fellow men”.

Second decade
1993 - 2003

As an Institution, one of our greatest legacies is and will be to prepare young people to become leaders who contribute to solve the challenges of tomorrow, with a human sense and commitment to the promotion and development of the communities of the State of Sinaloa.

Third decade
2003 - 2013

In Campus Sinaloa we are proud to be part of the great community of Tecnológico de Monterrey, which with 80 years of history, now has more than 96 thousand students, more than 11 thousand professors, 10 thousand collaborators, more than 355 thousand EXATEC and a presence in 32 municipalities in 20 states of the country.

Fourth decade
2013 - 2023

This 2023 our Institution celebrates 80 years of its foundation and 40 years of presence in Sinaloa. Decades in which the legacy of its founder, Mr. Eugenio Garza Sada, has been consolidated, thanking and recognizing the past, reflecting on the present and visualizing the construction of a better future.

It is an honor for me to welcome you and a pleasure to address you in this space as a representative of a prestigious Sinaloa university made up of a great educational community that is proud to offer an education that not only transcends the classroom, but also nurtures creative minds and visionary leaders.

At Tec we believe in the importance of cultivating leaders who are not only equipped with solid knowledge, but who are also capable of leading with innovation and entrepreneurship, thus contributing to human flourishing in all its dimensions.

We welcome you to a unique educational model designed to activate and empower your innovation capabilities. Here, we not only keep you relevant; we empower you to be an agent of change in unprecedented times, where education is undergoing a complete transformation.
