Identity and address of the responsible entity

The entity responsible for the personal information you provide is Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (hereinafter “ITESM”), operating at the address Av. Eugenio Garza Sada Sur No. 2501, Colonia Tecnológico, Monterrey, Nuevo León, México, C.P. 64700.

Personal data and sensitive personal data processed by ITESM

ITESM, as part of its prospects registration, will gather and process the following personal information categories: identification data (including photo identification), contact data, academic data and, in certain cases, employment and/or patrimonial data.

Likewise, we should like to inform you that in order to make required adjustments in connection with the application of the Admission Test and/or application form of the Programa Líderes del Mañana exams and tests, ITESM, if necessary, will gather and process health sensible data relating the appearance of any disability.

In addition, we should like to inform you that ITESM will gather and process identification data, contact data, employment data and, in certain specific cases, patrimonial data of your family members and/or third parties, with whom you have a relationship, either because they exercise their parental authority or they provide you with the financial support (“Third Parties”) required to comply with the primary and secondary purposes set forth herein [in this Privacy Notice]. Therefore, by providing the necessary personal data concerning your family members and/or Third Parties, you are acknowledging you have their consent for ITESM to process their personal data in the terms of this Privacy Notice.

Primary Purposes

ITESM will process your personal data, including Third Parties data, to fulfill the following primary and secondary necessary purposes:

To fulfill, register and to follow up the request(s) of information carried out by yourself.
To verify the truthfulness and accuracy of the information you provided.
To verify you have the skills, abilities and other necessary characteristics required to be admitted to ITESM and, if applicable, to the Programa Líderes del Mañana.
To invite you and to sign you up into informative session(s) events.
For the fulfillment and monitoring of the basis, requirements and procedures related to ITESM’s acceptance, contained in the “Reglamento de Admisiones”, according to the teaching level you request to be admitted to (High School, Undergraduate or Graduate).
For the fulfillment and monitoring of the basis, requirements and procedures in connection with the granting, keeping and cancellation of scholarships and Student’s Educational Loans contained in the “Reglamento de Becas y Préstamos Educativos para Alumnos” according to the teaching level you request to be admitted to (High School, Undergraduate or Graduate).
If applicable, for the fulfillment and monitoring of the basis, requirements and procedures regarding your acceptance to the Programa Líderes del Mañana.
To attend, register, and follow up on your request for accommodation at “Residencias Tec”, if applicable.
To handle and to administer digital access to ITESM systems and technological infrastructure, in which You initiate and follow up on the Programa Líderes del Mañana preselection process, your admission process, financial support and/or scholarship and/or your Residencias Tec accommodation request.
To attend, record and to follow up on the reports and/or requests of technical support generated due to the use of the systems and technological infrastructure.
To manage along the admission process the tuition payment insurance in case of death of the person responsible for the payment indicated in the admission application with the company with which the ITESM has agreed.
To manage the socio-economic Study application, in case you have been selected as Líder del Mañana.
To keep track of progress in your admission process, request for financial support and/or scholarship, accommodation in Residencias Tec or, if such is the case, as a Líder del Mañana.
To make the special accommodation required in order for you to take the admission test or the application of the assessments of the Programa Líderes del Mañana profile, in case of visual, auditory, physical or other conditions that require reasonable special accommodation.
For payment management and billing services, when applicable.
To attend, register and to follow up on complaints you may have.
To contact you and make known any information regarding the process of preselection of the Programa Líderes del Mañana and/or your admission process, as well as, to know your opinion regarding the attention received and the services we offer.
To inform Third Parties on the status and results of the admission process and/or the preselection as Líder del Mañana, if applicable.

We should also like to inform you that you cannot request ITESM to cease processing your data in connection with the aforementioned primary and necessary purposes, since such processing is necessary to fulfill the obligations derived from the relationship between you an ITESM.

Secondary Purposes

If you become an ITESM student, your data will become part of your academic file. Nevertheless, if you do not become an ITESM member and if you do not object, ITESM will keep your personal information for the following purposes, which are not necessary for the requested service, but will allow us to offer the best possible attention:

For possible subsequent contacts.
To send you promotional information in connection with different educational programs, courses, university graduated courses, seminars, certifications, symposiums, workshops, events and scholarships calls.
To send you publicity and communications for marketing, telemarketing or financial campaign purposes.
To use and make public your personal image to generate informative and/or promotional materials.
To carry out statistic reports, prior dissociation of your personal data through an appropriate mechanism.
To carry out research studies, prior dissociation of your personal data through an appropriate mechanism.
To develop and to consolidate prospective student profiles, prior dissociation of your personal data through an appropriate mechanism.

If you wish to restrict or suppress the processing of your personal data for any or all of the additional purposes, please send us an email to datospersonales@itesm.mx, within the following 5 (five) business days subsequent to the date your personal information was delivered to us, including the following:

Your full name and personal email address provided to us.
A copy of your valid identification.
The title of this privacy notice.
Date on which you deliver your personal data to ITESM.
The secondary purpose(s) you do not want your personal data to be used.

Your refusal to permit the use of your personal information for additional purposes will not constitute a reason to deny you the services requested or to terminate the relationship established between you and ITESM.

Transfers

In order to fulfill the aforementioned necessary purpose(s) or any others required by law or the competent authorities, ITESM will transfer the necessary personal data to the following organizations and for the following purposes:

The transfer(s) you refuse to allow be transferred regarding your personal data.

ARCO rights and/or revocation of consent

You or your legal representative can exercise any of your rights of access, rectification, cancellation or opposition (hereinafter “ARCO rights”), and revoke your consent for the processing of your personal data by sending an email to Departamento de Datos Personales, at datospersonales@itesm.mx. In this regard, we ask you to review the procedures, requirements and deadlines for the exercise of your ARCO rights and/or revocation of consent on our website https://tec.mx/en/arco-rights-andor-revocation-consent.

Limitation and/or disclosure of your data

You are able to restrict the use and/or disclosure of your personal data regarding our services communications or promotions, through your registration in the exclusion list as set forth accurately in such communications.

Whenever aforementioned exclusion list is not available, you can limit the use or disclosure of your personal data by sending your request to datospersonales@itesm.mx including the following:

Your full name and personal email address provided to us.
A copy of your valid identification.
The title of this privacy notice.
Date on which you deliver your personal data to ITESM.
The indication that you want to enroll in the ITESM General Exclusion List to stop receiving communications and promotions of our services.

Use of Cookies

We use cookies and other technologies on some of our webpages, which allows us to monitor your behavior as an internet user and to provide you with a better service and experience on browsing our site. The personal data that can be obtained through the use of these technologies are: identifiers, session usernames and passwords, region where your located at, type of browser, type of operating system, date and time of starting and finishing a session, webpages visited, searches completed and advertising reviewed.
